THE CONFEDERATION OF AFRICA FOOTBALL

CAIRO: The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the names of 68 referees who will supervise the games of the African Nations Championship to be held next year in Ivory Coast. - Of the 68 referees announced, 26 are referees, 30 are assistant referees while 12 are VAR referees. - There is no name of a referee from Tanzania on that list, while neighbors Kenya managed to send referees to the big championships in Africa. - The referee, Salima Mukansanga from Rwanda, who in recent days has introduced herself in the world of football due to her ability to handle the rules of football well, has penetrated again in other major championships after playing in the world cup in 2022 in Qatar. - It should be noted that the Afcon Championship is expected to start from January 13 to February 11, 2024 in Ivory Coast and Tanzania is among the 24 countries that will participate in the tournament in Ivory Coast.
